Homemade Chocolate

Do you like homemade chocolate? Me too. Have you ever wondered why not make chocolate on your own in the comfort of your home? I have and I decided to learn how to make my own delicious homemade chocolate.

I must tell you, it wasn’t so easy, as I’m not very skillful in doing manual things. In fact I’m complete butter-finger. First of all I’ve searched entire Internet, read tons of recipes and then also actually tried and tested them.

Despite my unskillfulness I’ve achieved my goal and actually learned how to make my own tasty homemade chocolate. Award for me was the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten. I was so proud of myself that I decided to share my knowledge with the world and that’s how The Homemade Chocolate Blog was created.

Making delicious and great looking homemade chocolate is really easy. You can make it at Easter, at Christmas or virtually any time of the year. Believe me, tasty chocolate is the best way to absolutely impress all of your guests.

You can purchase chocolate molds at most of specialty or discount stores and a wide variety of chocolate at your local supermarket. With a bit of time and patience you will soon be making gorgeous homemade chocolates.

I’ve prepared for you easy 6-step process for making homemade chocolate:

  • Melt your chocolate, (see below), then stir thoroughly to remove all lumps.
  • Pour melted chocolate into the moulds until they are filled to the top.
  • Tap the moulds with your fingertips to remove air bubbles from chocolate.
  • Let chocolates set, until hard.
  • After your chocolates have completely set and hardened, carefully pop them out of the mold.
  • Use a butter knife to trim off any excess chocolate around the edges.

I’ve got for you also 3 essential tips for melting the chocolate:

  • Break chocolate into even sizes pieces before melting.
  • Use a metal spoon to stir chocolate; wooden and plastic spoons retain moisture that can cause the chocolate to seize.
  • Always use a metal, glass or ceramic bowl to melt chocolate.

As you see it’s really easy, just follow these steps. Of course this is really the basic explanation of what you have to do. There is lot more to talk about if you want to get further into making homemade chocolate. I really encourage you to do so, because it’s a lot of fun. And a lot of tasty chocolate too.

In my research on Internet I’ve found this amazing book which I really encourage you to look at. It’s called Chocolate Lover’s Cookbook for Dummies and it’s absolutely incredible.
